AlchemyIRC

We are getting our stuff back (finally) on Friday.  However, as this is really close to the time I will be leaving for college, I will not be able to continue hosting AlchemyIRC here.  I am now looking for a server.  Anyone who wishes to donate a server (even a VPS), please contact me.  If I don’t know you I may check out your reliability before accepting your server.

I apologize for any inconvenience our absence has caused you.

Many of you are probably wondering why we haven’t returned yet.  You read our prediction which said we would return in a week (posted a week and a half ago) and you figure we should be back now.

OK, obviously, you didn’t read the part where it was an early estimate and extremely subject to change.

Anyway, the idiots at our insurance company told them to put our order on hold, so right now all our electronics are sitting there rotting.   Also, I have no clue when those idiots are going to get their act together, so we continue to sit here without our server or an ETA.

I apologize for any inconvenience.  Thank you for your loyalty and patience.

UPDATE: This post made it sound entirely like the insurance company’s fault.  It’s also the electronics company’s fault for charging outrageous amounts.

I do not know anything for sure yet, but I do have an early estimate so I might as well share it.  You may NOT hold me to this timeline because it is currently not set in stone.  It is expected that AlchemyIRC will return in about a week.

AlchemyIRC is now down.  I will update you with whatever information I get when I get it on when we will return.  See you all soon!

At 9:55 PM EDT tonight (July 19), AlchemyIRC will be going down for a currently-unknown period of time.  It is going to get cleaned to prevent smoke damage.  (The soot from the smoke settles in there.  Soot is acidy and will eventually eat away at it until it magically stops working unless it is specially cleaned.)  I currently do not have any other servers to use.
